in one of Cincinnati's poorest
neighborhoods, the Contact Center has a forty one year history of
community service and organizing. We work on the local, state and
national level to be the
grassroots voice on issues affecting our members. We work specifically
on neighborhood issues in Over-the-Rhine of
resident safety concerns and improving the neighborhood schools. In
1992 the Contact Center
started organizing recipients on public assistance
issues
to make changes in government policy. This group is the
Benefit
Rights Advocacy Group (BRAG). Our statewide group, The
People's
Empowerment Coalition of Ohio (PEC), organizes to help lift families
&
individuals out of poverty. |
