| Located in one of Cincinnati's poorest neighborhoods, the Contact Center has a forty one year history of community service and organizing. We work on the local, state and national level to be the grassroots voice on issues affecting our members. We work specifically on neighborhood issues in Over-the-Rhine of resident safety concerns and improving the neighborhood schools. In 1992 the Contact Center started organizing recipients around welfare issues to make changes in government policy. This group, formerly called Cincinnati Welfare Rights Coalition, is now the Benefit Rights Advocacy Group (BRAG). In 1995, the Contact Center started the Ohio Empowerment Coalition., our statewide coalition organizing on issues that impact low-income families and individuals. |
